Amy Rodger has stepped down as the Scottish Liberal Democrat Westminster Candidate for East Lothian for personal and professional reasons.
East Lothian Party Convenor Stuart Currie said," Obviously we are disappointed that Amy is not able to continue but we fully understands the reasons for her decision. I want to thank Amy for all the work she has done in the constituency which has been greatly appreciated."
The local party is now engaged in the process of selecting a new candidate for the seat. Members of the local party will decide by one member one vote who the successor to Amy will be.
