Dear Sir
Re Slip In Thefts in Dunbar
I refer to the recent stories in the papers. We have also had a report to the local Capp (Community and Police Partnership) meeting about the lack of security on the new estate.
In March the Police made house to house calls on new estate residents. There was a Roadshow held at Asda on 28th March. An alarm including batteries for use in garages was on sale at only £10.
Even so a number of slip in thefts were made on the new estate, mostly Kellie Place last week . Properties, garages and vehicles were insecure. One stolen car was found in Sunderland.
Residents are asked to attend to their home security - it would seem that many people are not doing the basic of locking their doors
.
Yours faithfully
