Dear Sir,
Earth Hour is a quickly growing voice on climate change.
For an hour between 8.30 and 9.30 pm on 27th March many places across the world turned their lights off. Global icons like the Pyramids, Parthenon and Edinburgh Castle turned their lights off. East Lothian Council joined in the action by turning off the floodlights at sites like John Muir House and Dunbar Townhouse
I personally turned my home lights off.
Along with Councillors MacKinnon and Turner, our Candidate Stuart Ritchie and other local activists I signed the Earth Hour pledge at the Lib Dem Scottish Conference in Perth.
In the UK East Lothian recorded the greatest proportion of its residents supporting Earth Hour .
Climate Change is an issue affecting all of us.
Many thanks to all East Lothian Residents who signed.
