Responding to the news that East Lothian Labour Party has selected Fiona O' Donnell to be their candidate, Stuart Ritchie Liberal Democrat candidate for East Lothian said:
"It takes a lot of arrogance for Labour to think after the last 9 years that the people of East Lothian will accept another Labour candidate with no connection to the area, imposed on them by Labour's NEC.
"In four weeks time the choice is clear for the people of East Lothian. They can elect another Labour candidate who knows nothing about the county and the issues the people here face or they can elect a local Liberal Democrat candidate, who will fight tirelessly for the area and properly represent them in parliament."
